Topic:Some think that young people should be free to choose any career they like, while others say that they should think more realistically about their future. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Many are of the opinion that youngsters must be given the freedom to decide what profession they want to pursue because they may be more successful and happier if they choose a career, they are interested in. However, they are people who feel young adults must be practical while choosing their careers so that their futures will be more secure. I agree with the former because job satisfaction can make a person more productive.

To initiate, globalization has resulted in the youth being exposed to so many different fields of work and study, where they can earn money using their skills and interest. Hence, they mustn’t be forced to select a profession only because their parents want them to do so. They must be given the freedom to select the career they are interested in. This will increase their productivity and enable them to be more successful. My views resonate with this train of though. For instance, youth who are talented in drawing are choosing to become designers and are making money designing infographics for professional presentations.

On the flip side, there are several seniors who claim that the youth must carefully ponder over their career choices, keeping the future in mind, as there are some exciting professions that are lucrative only when people are young. A couple of jobs result in a lot of travel and odd hours, hence it’s difficult to have a family or maintain personal relationships while focusing on such jobs. Furthermore, certain professions are highly competitive and require the professional to devote hours of hard work and money for a field they may not succeed in. For example, youth aspiring to become professional cricketers or models.

To recapitulate, job satisfaction is very important for efficiency and productivity and that cannot be attained if youngsters are forced to choose a career, they are not interested in. (310 words).
