Topic: Computer games are becoming very popular among children of all ages and nationalities. Parents say they are concerned because these games have little educational value and many harmful effects. Do you agree or disagree?

In today´s digital era, kids from all around the world and of different age groups prefer to play video games mainly on their computers. This trend has become a cause of concern amongst parents because most of these games are violent with disturbing graphics. They feel their children are not learning anything from these games, on the contrary they are harming their child´s mental and physical health. I totally agree with this.

To initiate, because of technology, computer games have become very realistic and thrilling. The child feels he is actually experiencing the events that are shown in the games which make them not only popular but addictive. For example, if we consider one of the most played games by today´s youth that is Pubg, it is an online battle game with 100 players on each side. They have to kill each other and the side which has the greatest number of players alive wins. The special effects used in this game attract children, but parents see it as violence, and they are right, it is a violent game.

Moreover, children have become so addicted to this game that they have no idea how much time they spend playing it; often playing into the wee hours, rendering them unable to wake up on time for school/college. This affects their physical health because they don´t go out and play during the day; giving rise to deficiencies due to lack of sunlight. The violence in the games also mentally affect the child, often making them aggressive.

In conclusion, I would like to reiterate that computer games are highly addictive due to the digitally simulated thrills but they are of no educational value. They are just turning the children into addicts, harming the child´s physical and metal health. (281 words).
